RegistryEasy Review - Does It Work?
software designed by Registry EasyTMProduct description
RegistryEasy flies somewhat "under the radar"; not quite as widely used as some of the other registry cleaners
although it has been downloaded by thousands of people and is very capable aswell.
RegistryEasy isn't watered down with a bunch of bells and whistles, so it relies on it's rock-solid registry editor & cleaner.
Like many others, it runs on Windows 98/ME, 2000, XP and Vista.
Product Research - Test Results
Effectiveness
RegistryEasy runs one of the most thorough scans we've seen from a registry cleaner. Short of spending over a hundred dollars on a computer technician, this is probably the best cleaning around.
RefistryEasy covers all the bases, including:
*Windows Installer Errors
*DLL Errors
*Runtime Errors
*Javascript Errors
*Vista, XP, 2000, 98 and ME Issues
Scroll down to the Features and Benefits section of the RegistryEasy homepage for a full list of the errors and issues that RegistryEasy fixes.
In addition to testing RegistryEasy on an old sluggish PC, we decided to run it on a PC that had already had other registry cleaners run on it. We were surprised to find that it in fact identified several runtime errors and invalid entries that some of the other programs had missed.
There was a definite all-around improvement in both our test systems; with both booting up much quicker, and with no error messages.
If you check out the RegistryEasy website, be sure to have a look at the "awards" section. It has a bunch of user feedback and comments from user on many of the major download portals, like Download.com
Ease of Use
To get an objective idea of just how 'easy' RegistryEasy really is we had one of our more technologically-challenged interns, Jake, run through the process without any help or guidance.
It took him ten minutes flat to install the software, run the scan and complete the step-by-step repair process. The built-in auto-backup feature was also a nice touch; ensuring that, as unlikely as it may be, should Jake inadvertently damage the registry, we would have been able to undo it all. Although we've never heard of RegistryEasy causing any problems with anyone's registry, it never hurts to have a backup.
And so, it's safe to say RegistryEasy lives up to it's name, as the repair process is simple, quick (and comprehensive).
Customer Service
For users of the full version, there is a dedicated support email with a guaranteed response time of 48hrs or less.
Bottom Line: With it's all-encompassing and easy to use approach to registry cleaning, it truly is surprising that RegistryEasy isn't more widely-used. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better registry cleaner currently on the market. This one doesn't disappoint.
