Errorfix Review - Does It Work?
software designed by Pc Utilities Inc.Product description
A relative newcomer to the PC registry cleaning market, the ErrorFix software (sometimes referred to as ErrorFix Advanced) offers a well-rounded, albeit somewhat limited registry cleaning program.
ErrorFix is designed to run on Windows 98/ME, 2000, XP and Vista.
Product Research - Test Results
Effectiveness
ErrorFix ran through the scanning process, finding a variety of different errors (runtime, DLL, etc.) without much trouble.
We then proceeded through the cleanup
process, being prompted along the way to select and identify which error clusters to repair.
Our test system, which had some particularly nasty errors (it was virtually unable to operate for more than an hour at a time without crashing); and to say this computer was SLOW, is understatement.
After running ErrorFix, there were some noticeable improvements, though I wouldn't go so far as to say it was "as good as new". It is possible our PC was just too far gone, and may have had some more serious issues that a simple registry cleaning could not fix.
Ease of Use
No real problems here, the software runs smoothly and should be easy to use for beginner-intermediate users. If you feel like a slightly more advanced user, there is also a custom-scan option.
Customer Service
ErrorFix support includes a standard help-desk, which is offered for all users with the full registered version.
Bottom Line: Not a flawless registry cleaner, but a solid entry nonetheless. ErrorFix is definitely worth a look, especially if your considering dropping some big bucks on a professional technician. At a fraction of the cost, ErrorFix is a good last-ditch effort before taking your PC to a shop. It's also got an 8-week money back guarantee, just in case.
